The faculty and staff of GMC serve over 14,000 enrolled students from nearly 30 different countries.

Georgia Military College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate's degrees and prepare students for transfer to four-year colleges or universities. The Milledgeville campus is also home to GMC Prep, an accredited secondary school that educates students in grades six through 12. For college students and prep school students who are enrolled in the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) and Junior ROTC programs, Georgia Military College also provides military training as part of the educational experience.
